1988:  Top First Student Award from Isfahan University of Technology, Iran.

1991:  Full Scholarship to pursue Ph.D. degree at The University of  Oxford from the Ministry of Science and Technology, Iran.

1996: Overseas Research Student Award (ORS) from Committee of Vice Chancellors and Principles, UK.

1998: Hirsch Award from University of Oxford, UK in recognition of the Ph.D. research.

2009: Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council award for Top 10 nanotechnology scientists.

2010: Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council award for Top 10 nanotechnology scientists.

2012: The Distinguish Researcher with highest h-index of Isfahan state award.

2014: Ranking among the top 1% most cited world’s leading scientists according to Thomson Reuters’s Essential Science Indicators database.

2020: Ranked among the top 2% of scientists in the world according to Scopus database which is based on Composite C index and includes the following six indicators; total citation, h-index, coauthorship-adjusted h-index, total citation to single authored papers, total citation to single+first authored papers, total citation to single+first+last authored papers.
